Gangtok, the gateway to Sikkim is a land of alluring charm! Located at an altitude of 1,650 m, it is the capital city of Sikkim. Gangtok attractions encompass Kanchenjunga mountain, the third highest mountain in the world, lush green forests, majestic mountains, serene beauty, glistening rivers, cascading waterfalls, adventure sports like river rafting, mountain biking etc.

Pelling, a quaint town, never fails to win the heart of tourists with its beauty and attractions. It is nestled at an elevation of 2,150 m, Pelling is the best place to capture the mesmerizing views of the Himalayas and the Kanchenjunga Peak. Pelling attractions also include dense forests, Buddhist monasteries, and wildlife.

Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills is a perfect holiday destination in northeast India. Perched at an altitude of 2,024 m in the state of West Bengal, Darjeeling is well known for Toy Train which is designated with the title- UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other major attractions of Darjeeling are aromatic tea gardens, majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga, viewpoints to capture great views of the mountains, greenery, natural beauty and much more.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Bagdogra Airport(IXB) – Gangtok (130 km/4 hour drive)

Once you reach the NJP/Bagdogra, our representative will receive you with a warm smile. We will drive you to Gangtok (1437 m), the capital city of Sikkim. Check in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax for some time. In the evening, take a relaxed walk on the MG Marg, the main street of Gangtok. Stay overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.
 

Day 2 : Gangtok (Tsomgo Lake Excursion and Baba Mandir)

Start your day early at around 8 am for an excursion to the mesmerizing Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft/3750 m/3 hrs drive) where sheer natural beauty awaits you! The drive to the Lake is equally amazing. The lake is revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. It has wonderful surroundings- snow-covered mountains in winter and wildflowers during most of the year. One can also enjoy a yak ride near the lake. The view of the lake in winter when it gets frozen is a sight to behold. Next, visit the famous Baba Harbhajan Mandir( 13,200 ft/4000 m) built in the memory of a brave Indian soldier, Baba Harbhajan Singh. By evening come back to the hotel in Gangtok. Remaining day at leisure. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in the hotel. Optional Tour: Nathula Pass tour can be done on the same day at an additional cost. If you love adventure and natural beauty, then Nathula Pass is the best bet for you. It is a well-known motorable mountain pass of India. Located at an altitude of 14,140 feet, Nathula Pass also served as an important trade route between India and Tibet.

Day 3 : Gangtok – Pelling(120 km/5.5 hour drive)

After breakfast, drive to Pelling, a lovely town in West Sikkim. Check in at the hotel in Pelling. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4 : Pelling half day sightseeing and transfer to Darjeeling

Kickstart your day with a delicious breakfast and then drive to some of the amazing tourist attractions of Pelling. Start with a visit to Darap Valley which is steeped in natural beauty in plenty. Then head to Rimbi waterfall to treat your eyes with cascading water amidst green surroundings. The next on the list is the Sewaro rock garden festooned with fountains and lush green plants and trees. Spend some quality time here. And then visit the sacred Khecheopalri Lake. Drive to Darjeeling after sightseeing. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : Darjeeling full day sightseeing

Start your day early at around 4 am. Today be ready to get enchanted to the hilt as you will explore some of the most enchanting attractions of Darjeeling. It is a beautiful town in the state of West Bengal. Located at an altitude of 2,042 m, Darjeeling is a big hit with tourists. The first Darjeeling attraction we will visit is the Tiger Hill (2590 m) to capture bird’s eye view of the town and breathtaking sunrise views over the snow-capped Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountains in the world. Then visit Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track amidst extremely beautiful surroundings, and the age-old Ghoom Monastery. After this, take a break for breakfast. Resume your sightseeing journey and visit the Japanese Temple which is known for its Japanese architecture and is also a famous Buddhist pilgrimage. Other famous attractions of Darjeeling that we will visit are Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park(closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Peace Pagoda and Chitrey Tea Garden(outer view). In the evening roam around the Mall Road.

Day 6 : Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Bagdogra Airport(IXB) (88 km/3 hrs drive)

Your tour ends today! Check out from the hotel after breakfast and depart for IXB with memories to be cherished for long.
